I had to write a guest post on Howard’s blog as the result of a bet I lost. For those of you who have been saying you miss my humorous (or was that humorless?) posts, you’ll want to head over there and check it out.
Back in 1994 Fox shot a pilot for their popular series "24", but something just didn’t click. They decided to sit on the series until the time was right. After a seven-year wait, the pilot was re-shot and the series finally debuted in 2001.
This original pilot was recently leaked on the Internet. After viewing it, I think Fox made the right decision:
Hat tip:I forgot! I saw this somewhere while catching up on my blog reading but cannot remember where. If it was your site, I’m sorry I didn’t give you proper acknowledgment.
In order to make sure you’re prepared for Thanksgiving, I wanted to share with you this forecast* for the holiday weekend:
Turkeys will thaw in the morning, then warm in the oven to an afternoon high near 190ËšF. The kitchen will turn hot and humid, and if you bother the cook, be ready for a severe squall or cold shoulder.
During the late afternoon and evening, the cold front of a knife will slice through the turkey, causing an accumulation of one to two inches on plates. Mashed potatoes will drift across one side while cranberry sauce creates slippery spots on the other. Please pass the gravy.
A weight watch and indigestion warning have been issued for the entire area, with increased stuffiness around the beltway. During the evening, the turkey will diminish and taper off to leftovers, dropping to a low of 34ËšF in the refrigerator.
Looking ahead to Friday and Saturday, high pressure to eat sandwiches will be established. Flurries of leftovers can be expected both days with a 50 percent chance of scattered soup late in the day. We expect a warming trend where soup develops. By early next week, eating pressure will be low as the only wish left will be the bone.
If you’ll notice, I bit my tongue (boy did I have to bite it hard!) and refrained from writing a post of my take on the whole Sen. Tappy McWidestance incident since it was everywhere in the media and blogosphere. That’s doesn’t mean that I’m going to avoid mocking the whole thing mercilessly. This here, along with the SNL commentary, is a keeper!
I have never and will never apologize for such a thing. That wimpy airline even let the man put on another one. That’s what they should apologize for (unless of course the man was unattractive. By all means, then an apology should be issued… to the other passengers!).
