Study: False statements preceded war

January 22nd, 2008

WASHINGTON - A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The study concluded that the statements "were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses."

    gee, I said the same thing after I saw this headline on the ‘net…

    WTF is happening to this country? all I know is GWB has less than 1 year to go (YESSSSSSSSSSS!) and the next person will inherit a shitload of problems due to W and congress and citizen complacency and…..

    unfortunately, I don’t have the answer. the only thing I can do is educate myself about the candidates and vote.

    Is there any hope for our country now? Like Anne Marie in Philly said the next president will have a shitload of problems from that current guy now, because of his arrogance.
