A week or two ago I sent an e-mail out to everyone on my blogroll (i.e. those for whom I could find a contact e-mail) asking them to send me what they considered their best blog post of 2007.  What’s interesting about this is that each of these bloggers had to choose their favorite which in and of itself reveals a little something about that blogger.  A couple of them tried to cheat by sending me a list of two or more.  I sent it back saying I wasn’t going to decide for them; that they needed to pick one.

I meant to post this the first weekend after the New Year, but as you my recall, that was when the stomach flu hit my household.  I then have been really busy (see my previous post), but at long last here it is.

May I present (in the order they responded) what these bloggers consider their best of 2007:
(Warning- some of these sites may be NSFW)

That’s everyone who responded. If I left anyone out, please accept my apology. If you’d like to be included and weren’t, why not leave a link in the comments to your best post?

I hope you’ll take the time to check these links out. There are some truly interesting reads. These posts represent just what the blogosphere is all about.

As for me, what do I consider my best post of 2007?  There were a lot of serious and/or political posts that I liked, but humor trumps those every time in my book.  My favorite post was A Field Guide to the North American Gay Male.  Of course if you disagree, I’d be interested to hear what blog post you liked best.

P.S.  Special thanks to The Bilerico Project for the idea of this post.

I second Howard’s sentiments. As some of my long-time reads have recently quit the game, I’ve been eager to find new regular reads but it’s a big blog-world out there and more crap than gems.

    Rick-

My “sent” e-mail shows that I did include you.

    Chris-

I’m very sorry, but I didn’t get your e-mail. I’ll double check and see if ended up in my spam filter, but feel free to send me the link again.

    Jester-

Sorry. It was a pain in the butt having to go through and collect everyone’s e-mail addresses from my blogroll. Can your e-mail be found on your blog? If not, that’s why I missed you.
