I love the new site. It’s wonderful and it’s great not to just read about the crap ( Paris, Brit and the rest). To finally have someone who is well informed and sharing that information with his readers. Thanks for caring about our country and opening your readers eyes as how to take it back !!
Carlin is more accurate than you can possibly imagine…I read a survey a few days ago that says that Americans in 2006 made LESS in earning power than a minimum wage worker in 1970. It’s so nice to know that for 37 years we have been toiling to make corporations rich.
VUBOQ’s weekend plans: drinking! lots of secks (hopefully)! being re-blonded! And, here’s a fun project: My coffee/cinnamon infused vodka is finished. Can anyone figure out a kickass cocktail using it?
I’d agree with David: Not funny at all…but definitely on the edge and atetmpting to be clear-eyed about the reality of corporatized living in the US.
It’s ironic: I was discussing this the other night with a friend, and I’ve come to realize I have far more freedom in China than I did in the US. Sure, I probably have less political freedom, but I have far more opportunities here and I far better control over my own, corporate-free destiny. We always talk about the Horatio Alger, rags-to-riches American dream, and now it’s become more feasible to achieve that dream in China than in the US. Crazy world we live in.
[...] news is that Scott-O-Rama is back from hiatus and he’s been posting like crazy. Here’s a video of George Carlin laying it on the line and his choice for the Democratic presidential-wannbe. Welcome back, Scott! [...]
Got to hand it ot the man, he certainly has his eyes wide open. Great post mate.
cheers
Shaney
He nailed it on the head. Carlin is one of my all time favorite comedians because he don’t shy away from telling it how it is.
Wow, that was very powerful. I thought he had lost his edge over the years and now I’m happy to say I’m wrong.
Dear Scott,
I’m so glad your back.

Well, he wasn’t very funny. But he’s probably right.

Sunday I’m heading to the nude beach.
You?

That was pretty powerful and he hit the nail on the head.
