For the first Boogie Boogie song of the New Year, I found a really cool plug-in for WordPress that allows you, my loyal blog reader, to listen to the boogie boogie song right there in your browser window without having to download it.  You will notice now that next to the song link, there is a little blue "play" button arrow.  Click the button and you should hear the song start almost immediately.  If you want to download the file, then click on the song link itself.

Better yet, this plug-in has added the play button to all my old Boogie Boogie posts as well, so if there is one you wanted to listen to, but didn’t want to download, now you can.

Today’s Boogie Boogie song is one that I have had going through my head recently as a result of watching the news.  Not all people know, but Michael Hutchence, the late lead singer of INXS, was in a side project band called MAX Q in the late 80’s.  This song is from that band.  It’s called "Way of the World," and if you look at the lyrics below, I think you’ll find that the song is as topical today as it was back in 1989.
